Plane
For those not within driving
distance and not living near a convenient Amtrak
stop in the Northeast, the easiest way to get to
Russell Sage College and Troy, NY is by plane. The
nearest airport is Albany International Airport,
which is approximately a 25-minute car ride away.

College is by Taxi with local bus transportation

take a bus from the Airport, you need to take the
ShuttleFly CDTA bus to Colonie Center and from
Colonie Center take the number 90 and tell the
driver you need to get off by Russell Sage
College. The stop will be before Fulton and
4th. You will likely need to get off by
Congress and 4th, but the driver will know best.

Train
Amtrak is the best way to travel to
Russell Sage College and Troy, NY as it is
conveniently located and usually cheaper than
taking a plane. The closest Amtrak stop is
the Albany-Rensselaer stop which is only 10
minutes away by car. When searching for
tickets on
www.amtrak.com, use ALB as the station code.
Those 26 and under receive 15% off tickets if they
use a Student Advantage card (www.studentadvantage.com)
and purchase them 3 or more days in advance.
Discounts are also available for AAA members. From
the Amtrak station, you will need to take the
number 24 to Fulton and 4th. You can ask the
driver if it goes closer to Russell Sage, but
probably not. If it doesn't, walk south on
4th until you see Division or Congress Street.
Take those streets west towards the river until
you hit 1st St. From 1st St, see the
Campus

Bus
Greyhound is always an option when
traveling to the conference. Visit
www.greyhound.com and have your end station
listed as code ALB. You will then need to
take the number 22 on the public CDTA bus.
The bus stop is outside on the west side of the
Greyhound station. For those looking to take
a bus from the Airport, you need to take the

Train will be readily accessible as they will be
outside each station. Most taxis in the
Albany/Troy area have set rates for travel and
will not be on a meter. The likely cost for
a taxi from the airport to the college is $20-25.
The likely cost for a taxi from the Amtrak station
to the college is $15-20.
